- On a 4091: works perfectly... couldn't be happier (gets 950 kB/s)
-
- On a GVP 4008: mostly works ok. Generates occasional "Unexpected
- Status" error requester. So far, it seems that using "gvpscsictrl 5
- DCOFF" (for Zip drive on ID 5) fixes this. (gets 650 kB/s on my
- 4000/040 -- some people have gotten higher, though)
-
- On a 3000's internal SCSI: also works perfectly (gets 1 MB/s)
-
- On all: make sure the mountlist (or RDB) you use has 196608 sectors in
- it (the one automatically generated by HDToolBox doesn't!) - the exact
- geometry doesn't matter, but you should use all 196608 sectors, unless
- you like wasting perfectly good space on every Zip disk :)
-
- Actually, I've noticed that HDToolBox almost never uses all the
- sectors on any hard drive :(
-
- (The wastes is typically >.1%, but still! How difficult would it be
- to use all the sectors! Geesh!)
